Hmm...maybe. Just gotta find the right PNGs to mod methinks.

bossxx 10-28-2007 05:18 PM

Is iBrickr the same as Winscp? I was using winscp to transfer files and what not with the wifi.. is ibrickr the same concept? is there something u can use to transfer files instead of using a wifi based program? i dont have wifi at my house. only gf's haha

+Kardboard+ 10-28-2007 05:25 PM

iBrickr is the same type of app as iNdependence on the Mac I think: activates, jailbreaks, etc.

WinSCP is like Fugu on the Mac, they're SFTP apps that let you FTP into your iPhone and upload/download files.

No other way to transfer files except via SSH on WiFi....no easy way I think, anyhoo.

In other news, I saw some middle-aged Chinese lady (a.ka. see-lai for you Canto speakers; note, that is NOT synonymous with MILF.... ) at Crystal Mall today using an iPhone. It was funny. I laughed.

terkan 10-28-2007 05:26 PM

i still can't find the transparent file :(

and you can use ibrickr to transfer files to the phone ~ but you can't set permission ~ and you can't delete files on it ~ so as long as you are sending files that don't need permissions then it's ok

what is the battery issue thing i am hearing from my friends/ random people? today i was at futureshop, and I was browsing around and the guy saw i had an iphone. he was like "dude, you know the battery on the iphone gives out dangerous radiation"...

then today while i was waiting for teh bus, some lady who claimed to work at an apple storei n the states told me the battery will die after 200 uses...

is this all true, or are they just jealous haha.

+Kardboard+ 10-28-2007 06:03 PM

LOL "dangerous radiation"???!??! AHAHAHHAAH....it's a phone, that's what it's meant to do. Nothing to do with the battery though. :D

The battery dies after a certain number of charges, but I believe it's much higher than 200...

must be..200 charges wont even last you a year
depends on the usage really, but either ways, its much higher than 200

bcedhk 10-28-2007 06:54 PM

so anyone got navizon to work?

+Kardboard+ 10-28-2007 07:54 PM

No good. Besides, it seems to need a data connection too...so it's kinda pointless if you ask me. Wait for the real iPhone GPS apps to come out after the SDK drops in February!

(lol I haven't used my BT GPS since I sold my TyTN I :()

bossxx 10-28-2007 09:09 PM

Hmm turns out my phone finds 2 wireless networks in my area, unfortunately both are locked. I wish I had the password haha.. damn.

invader 10-28-2007 10:20 PM

theres apps out there to "aquire keys" to encrypted connections

+Kardboard+ 10-28-2007 10:29 PM

Not for the iPhone lol....you'll have to set up a laptop and have lots of time hahaha

Oh yeah, it's also illegal. :p

terkan 10-29-2007 07:30 AM

and most of the time doesn't work

kwanzor 10-29-2007 06:01 PM

=(

+Kardboard+ 10-29-2007 06:28 PM

I got it working. Rename it to "icon-MediaPlayer.png". It's case-sensitive.

bossxx 10-29-2007 07:39 PM

Should I buy a wireless router for my house? they are only like $50. Then my phone will pick up the signals lol

+Kardboard+ 10-29-2007 07:44 PM

In this day and age, yeah. And you can probably pick one up for under that.

bossxx 10-29-2007 08:18 PM

koo.. there are currently 3 computers on my network here at home. All connected with cable from a router. Can I just add another line from my router for my new wireless router and just leave it at that?

So then there will be:

3 computers hooked up with cable
0 computers hooked up with wireless

But active wireless in the house for iPhone and future laptop (Boxing Day :D)

yes. Just picked up a wireless router and with the exact same setup.

You can replace the router with the wireless router if you want. Since my wireless router acts as a 5 port wired router as well.

Yeah I know but I figure there is no point doing that since everything is already hooked up and working fine. No use tampering with it.

No, it's just that rSBT doesn't work with 1.1.1 yet.

Alphamale 10-30-2007 02:32 AM

as long as you won't ever use the wifi router for hosting any computer games or bt downloading you are fine ~ otherwise you'll have to portforward from the wired router to the wireless router to your computer :D
