Actually, both platforms let you activate and all that without WiFi. It's easier on a Mac to activate and jailbreak (IMHO), and after that use iBrickr on the PC or iFuntastic on the Mac to get access to the iPhone without WiFi.

Does anyone know how to solve this iphone freezing problem? Right now, my iphone is playing music, however, the screen freezes. And I am trying to turn off the phone and restart the phone. I tried holding the power button for a long time and nothing works, not even the touch screen. Even when I plugged the iphone into the usb or the charger, the phone wont respond; it only shows the frozen screen. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

What iBrickr gives you access to mod your phone? wtf.. I thought there was no way and that you had to have wifi (I was using winscp or whatever to get my 1.1.1 running). Cuz I was going to buy a wireless router on friday LOL.. well maybe I will dl this prog.

So w. iBrickr, do you just plug your phone into your pc with the cable used to sync your phone with?

Like babyshortie said, hold down the power and Home buttons. Do so until the phone restarts.

if you have a mac ~ you can put the anySIM.app folder into root directory ~ the whole folder ~

then run terminal with your iphone plugged in and type this command

cd/.
chmod +x 0777 anySIM.app; cp anySIM.app /Applications/
then just restart your phone

you should see the anysim application on ur springboard assuming you have activated already

with ibrickr you can access the files/directory. but you can not set the permission ~ you'll still need something like terminal to set the permission ~ especially on applications

lol if you are running 1.1.1 just do a restore and activate again :P the unlock will survive a restore to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 ~ you just have to do the activate and jailbreak part :D

Ahh unfortunately ibrickr is only available for 1.0 phones... guess we'll have to wait a bit for them to get it going for 1.1.1..

you can run ibrickr on 1.1.1 ~ but certain stuff don't work that's all ~ like ringtones and installing apps

Yea iPod has the same earphones.. I blew the left one a bit cuz one of the mp3s on my playlist was super loud.. fakk.. now the left one distorts at high bass. That said, my iPhone ear buds are still in the box.
