I'm curious what everyone's wrist measurement is.. like right at the narrowest part below the hand. Mine is 7", I always thought I had small wrists, considering how I wear my watches |
which part of the wrist? between the ulna bump and the hand? over the ulna bump? |
I did mine like how you'd wear a watch comfortably.. the bump shouldn't be bigger than like 1/4" right? at least mine isn't.. I measured over the ulna |
I *think* the technical place to measure your wrist is over the bone since it should be bone on the inside and outside and shouldnt be affected by muscle or fat. In any case im a little under 7". |
6.5'' :fuckthatshit: |
same gym was packed today holy, entire free weight area with benches with flooded with brown dudes doing curls and dumbbell presses, theres 4 or 5 flat/incline/decline bench presses (1 or 2 of each) all were being used, only 2 squat racks, one was being used for doing deadlifts inside, another to keep a bench inside where a guy put his keys, wallet etc on top while he did deadlifts outside it, luckily after 5-10 mins he was done and i got the rack and bench, pretty sick workout today Spoiler! on a related note, theres actual online calculators where you can punch in your height, wrist measurement, and sometimes other standard bone measurements like head, etc. and they will tell you what your body frame is, and things like how much meat you can carry. edit: heres one. not sure if its 'perfect' or ideal attainable. http://www.etoolsage.com/Calculator/...it=in.&Wrist=7 for a 7" wrist you should be: Chest Size: 45.5 in.Waist Size: 31.85 in. Hip Size: 38.67 in.upper arm: 16.38 in. Forearm Size: 13.19 in.Thigh Size: 24.12 in. Calve Size: 15.47 in.Neck Size: 16.84 in. theres a book written in depth about this. describes what is technically the absolute perfect body shape. steve reeves was pretty obsessed with it and thats what he aimed for when he was body building. thats where i first got interested in reeves after reading it. reeves came pretty close i think. zane was up there too. this is why i MUCH prefer the aesthetics of the pre-olympia era of bodybuilding, and also the 70s era. i really dont like the mutant era we are in now. as amazing as it is. all your body parts are supposed to be sized off eachother. like your bicep is suposed to be X times larger than your wrist. calf should be i think the same as bicep. quad X times larger than calf. neck X times your head. shoulders X times your neck. chest X times your waste. etc. edit: heres one of the calculators i think http://www.muscleandstrength.com/too...surements.html |

Do any of you go to Golds? Langley or Richmond? I've been thinking about switching over to them from my current gym, because being a kwantlen student my membership would only be like $5 a month. |

what gym do you go to now? |
worked out legs 3 days ago.. and can still feel the soreness which is quite odd. Normally my body doesn't get soar after a workout, but it sure does feel good |
Does Golds in Richmond have bounce plates? |
been sore everyday in different places for the last month, hopefully can keep it going feels good @chin3se604 if u like getting sore, try constantly changing up your routine so your body is never used to what your'e doing, rather than doing the same workout everytime, that being said if u are making steady gains with your routine without getting sore which is common then stick with it until u plateau Posted via RS Mobile |

As long as the actual equipment is good, not to crowded and weights aren't lying all over the place I'll probably make the switch. I go to a small gym in Abbotsford near my apartment, at the moment. I have classes at every Kwantlen campus though, so Golds wouldn't be too far out of my way. |
heres Steve Reeves measurements taken from his website Height: 6' 1" Weight: 216 Wrists: 7 1/4" Shoulder Breath: 23 1/2" Neck: 18 1/2" Chest: 52" Waist: 29" Hips: 38" Biceps: 18 1/4" Forearms: 14 3/4" Thighs: 26" Calves: 18 1/4" Ankles: 9 1/4" Spoiler! |

Actually the thing about these "perfect" old school bbers is that their waists are disproportionately small. Reeves is stated at 29" and that is probably inflated a bit. Same for pretty much every amazing physique, even the freaks of today Posted via RS Mobile |

Keep in mind that up until 7 months ago I could only squat if my heels were elevated (i stood on top of 5 lb plates) because according to my trainer my calves are too tight. Then I started squatting flat, and I basically had to start from scratch and work my way back up. So I don't want to have to start over AGAIN, I want to actually increase my squat, I keep peaking at 3 plates and then I switch up my style and have to start over. I prefer to DL without shoes. For squats, I need them. And Mindbomber, Golds Langley is a solid gym. There's tons of space, 3 squat racks (I think) and a ridiculous amount of machines, I'm not big on machines, but the ones they have are pretty baller. Can't tell you much since i don't go there yet, but it's definitely worth it. |
