Rogers and Fido offering Mobilicity and Wind Mobile customers a $100 port in credit | MobileSyrup.com So you think Rogers been losing customers to Wind/Mobilicity to such a great extent that they want to attract them back by offering a $100 port in credit? They should offer better retention plans (like the ones in the earlier pages of this thread) if they want to keep customers. Doubt this little promo would work for those who paid hundreds to get OUT of their Rogers contract to go to Wind/Mobi. |
^ $100 even that is pathetic when Mobilicity is offering up to $150 to port over from any of them.... I paid roughly $200 to rogers to get out of my contract been with Mobilicity for a while awesome! from over $90 a month 200 mins and 500mb lol, to $28 monthly unlimited.... It's game over for the big 3 dominating the market with everything but unlimited plans, unlimited is the future and as soon as they come to terms with it accept it and roll out their own unlimited plans it will be better for all of us, but obviously they're greedy and I guarantee all 3 of them have illegal price fixing shit going on between them behind the scenes. the saves rep from Rogers tried to convince me to stay, I broke down every single argument she had to the point where she just gave up.. cherry on the cake was when i told her Mobilicity is killing you guys the way Fido was back in the day with their $40 unlimited and thats why you were forced to buy Fido, you wanted to hold off the unlimited plans as long as you could, but the greedy jig is up now... now I just hope that Mobilicity doesn't sell out and sell the company to one of the big 3, bell telus or rogers I also CANNOT wait until Mobilicity moves into the cable tv segment, paying fuckin $140 a month for Telus optik TV/home phone/internet is a ripoff |
Should I take this plan??? I was offered $52.35+6.40 = about ~60/month 200 mins 6PM w/e 1 gig data my 10 unlimited sms/pic/video messaging (essentially the 62.35 promo plan offered to the public BUT with a 10$ plan discount) +VM/CID bundle with 50% promo it would be 6.40 -- I'm on a pretty cheap bb plan right now for 45/month...debating whether I should pay an extra $15 on my plan every month for more features + upgrade to an iphone. To early HUP, the rep said he would credit $45 (3 months) of early upgrade but not the admin upgrade fee of 35. The retentions rep said to disregard what BS the regular csr's say about early upgrade restrictions because this department can bypass all of that, lol. To sign with rogers for another 3 years...contract ends in December.. |

but for real though, I mean if I was on the Mobilicity board of directors I'd make sure this thought was at least already on the table especially the way they're expanding right now.. good businesses are always looking at least 5-10 years ahead, and I think that's what's in their future Rogers is getting into banking for fcks sake, these 3 big assholes have already gotten too big, someone needs to shake the shit up, I had high hopes for Fido back in the day but they sold out |
LOL@ ROgers! even if I roam on Mobilicity occasionally, i still pay less for unlimited everything! no roaming needed, only $25/month tax in. no contract, no cancellation fees, no system access fees. man some of you guys have money to burn! |
but even though mobilicity network still is not the best only good for certain area and the data is not as great as well... |

I dont really think Rogers care about losing customers, they haven't change since. Actually, their retention has gotten tighter than ever for negotiation. Too bad i am locked on a contract atm. |
my gf broke her sony experia and the only thing holding her screen together was her screen protector. called retentions and askd them what they could do for her since she is still under contrac for 18 months. the rep i talked to was so nice, she waived the early upgrade fee of $260 and the $35 activation fee my gf would have had to pay, and gave her a new white iphone 4 8 gb for $99.00 plus tax with a $50 rebate, so only $49! had to resign the 3 yr contract but that was fine since shes already on a good retentions plan 200 mins unl eve/wknds at 6pm my 10 canada wide ulimited texts visual voicemail call/name display 1gb data no grrf $ 40.39 plus tax |
How do you get such good contracts with Rogers.. Mines $50.50 200 mins unlimited after 6 unlimited text voicemail caller id etc 500mb data |
Just got off with retention and again they impress and make me happy . I did an early upgrade (Got an iphone 4 a year ago). They Offer me $110 credit + free 1 month for all my lines to offset the remaining balance of early upgrade fee . So now I will be paying $159ish for the Iphone 4s. They also add 500mb LTE Data for $15. Now my mom's line cost $40 and it includes the following: - 250 Min - Unli Starts 5pm with unli weekends - My 5 - Call Display With Name Display1 - Visual Voicemail Plus - 100 US & International text messages2 - 500mb LTE What do you guys think? Rogers never fails to help me |

there are 2 things. 1. luck of the draw. some agents love to help. some are just dicks. it may sometimes take a few calls to get someone that is good. 2. be nice to the agents. be assertive, not agressive. it also doesnt hurt to play the "poor me" card. there are some good stories u can tell them that will sometimes get the agent to be more willing to help ie: "i just lost my job", " my wife/gf and I just had a baby, and with her income not being as high as before due to maternity leave, and raising a baby, we would like to reduce our monthly costs" with those excuses/stories/lies (as some ppl will like to call them), you have to precede them with "with all these new carriers and their low monthly costs, i was thinking of porting over to someone else, but i do like rogers and the service you provide... are you able to work something out for me..." good luck. |
