my credits were left on and actually, it looks like I was given 12gb in error instead of 6. thats what my app shows so I'm gonna go a little over and see if I get charged anything extra

your plan is what I m trying to budge for atm, but they dont seem to be willing to give it to me even if i sign a new 3 year contract.

I didn't resign for another 3 years. I just called into reg cust svc and asked how new plan compared to my previous. Everything stayed the same as before the only diff was 6gb of data instead of two (well actually i think it's 12 gb data) and I'm paying $20 less and I got to keep the credits I had before

So I checked my upgrade eligibility and noticed S3 was on the list. I select it and it says

$209.00 (before $50 credit), $40ish early upgrade fee, $39 hardware administration fee.

WTF?

Is it necessary to pay these fees when the advertised price is $159 on 3 year? I want to upgrade but I am not paying $300 for an S3 on 3 years.

if your early upgrade fee is only 40-ish, you are probably at the end of your contract then? you can call in to renew and maybe they can waive some of the fees

Just called Rogers and told them I was going to cancel my two phones. They offered me $30 in credits and after taxes it's around $110. Here is my new plan.

-400 shared minutes
-Unlimited Canada-Wide Family Plan Member Calling

-one line has 100mb data, the other 500mb data

when you guys call in and say cancel, do you really mean it? if they really let you loose, do you use the 30 days to get another provider and port your number over?

Sometimes lol. I know with my Bell TV it was all bluff. Sometimes I do really mean it but on my own terms. By that I mean yes I will cancel but not with them over the phone. I want to make sure I keep my number and go sign up else where and port that shit. Sure I could still port it I guess but it has to be within the 30 days I guess and I don't like to be put on that time line.

Yesterday I got a call from Rogers customer care center, and I told them I wasn't satisfied with my service with Rogers. They apologized and offered me a contract renewal. On top of that, for an extra 5 dollars I now have 6GB of data LTE ready, and they offered me a hardware upgrade, 3 phone options at no charge, so I got the nokia lumia 900 4g LTE. No charge, no hardware upgrade fee either.

So now I'm only paying 61.17 after tax

exact plan i have but i don't have any data just the bbm/email etc.. i pay 44 after taxes. just hate having to beg for my credits to be renewed everytime i extend my contract. giving my plan away for free and going to wind.

so i think i am getting the s3 upgrade for $139.27. the lady said early upgrade and hardware admin already included. not sure if the $50 deducted yet. i even double confirm if it's the s3, she's like yea.

sounds too good to be true because the call was cut off when i was dealing with the rep. called back to make sure and the guy i was talking to say the note said they will be processing that order (but didn't say what order at what price)

just gotta wait and see. hopefully they don't send me the s2 or some shit.

yep. i have it posted in the b/s/t section.

its $44 after tax.

after 6/weekends free, 200 day min, incoming calls, rogers to rogers, caller id, unlim txt, email/bbm/msn... 2.3yrs left, all credits are good for the term also. the base plan itself is $17.50.

I wanted the s3 too, but she said it wasn't in stock plus I would have to pay about 280 plus taxes and upgrade fees. On top of that she wasnt sure if i could get it because it isn't showing up as part of the promo, if it isn't and they send the s3 I'm looking at 400.she said I could try and get it from the Rogers store, but I know that the Rogers stores don't do shit.
I also asked for the iphone 4s and she said that phone is not part of the promo that they can offer either and i would have to pay 400 for that too.
I don't have that kind of money to spare so I ended up with the lumia. Now I'll have both the n9 meego and the lumia 900 wp. Always wanted to try the lumia anyway.

rogers is so retarded like that. i don't understand why they don't just let you upgrade when you can have bell match your plan and switch over on a 3 year and get the s3 for $159.99.

How would I go about asking for an early upgrade? I got the Samsung Infuse at this time last year, and there's no way it'll last another 2 years just because of the shitty battery as well as the lack of ICS upgrade. Is there any way to get the upgrade fee waived? I like the 6GB super plan I'm on, so is it possible just to get credits for that instead?
