Seems like you got $10 off for the 500mb data. Btw I believe it depends in the area you are in for whether or not you get LTE. |
Quote:
Just deselect GSM and HSPA on the map to see LTE coverage only. |
It also depends on your phone too. If your phone isn't LTE capable, you won't get it. iPhone's would not be on LTE. |

Your correct they give me a $10 off for the 500mb LTE When you try to negotiate with rogers don't threaten them that you will disco or ask like a little kid. Use reverse psychology. Find a different way to input on their mind that you need help. |
I called Rogers Retention again to see what they could offer me for a brand new number (I decided not to accept the family plan that they offered me since I got a really good deal on the line that I just did an early upgrade.). The plan cost $58 and it includes the following: 200 Mins Unli Starting from 6PM (Evenings and Weekends) Unli Canada Wide Texting (could be switch to My5, Double Your Mins or Unli Local Network Calling) 100 International Texting Unli Canada CD + Visual VM + Other BS 500mb LTE $100 Activation Credit I search thoroughly on their website and I cant find a similar plan. The closest I could is this http://www.rogers.com/web/Rogers.por...bel=WLRS_Plans but the 200 min plan listed on the link doesn't include 100 International Texting Unli Starting from 6PM (Evenings and Weekends) CD + Visual VM + Other BS Does this mean that they give me a semi retention plan right after signing a new number? What do you guys think about this plan? Is it worth getting compare to virgin mobile offer http://www.revscene.net/forums/66589...n-offered.html ? Note: The phone user needs international txting Thanks |
$58 + grf(2.58) + tax? |

100 credit + I will tell a rogers store that in order for me to get the phone in their store they need to promise that I will get this http://mobilesyrup.com/2012/04/05/ro...-select-plans/ This guys needs commission specially the one on the malls :) They will drop for this hehehe. I will get an Xbox 360 with Kinect for only $149.99 |
so i called rogers inquiring about adding a 3rd line for my mom and they told me about the ultimate value plan. for 24.97 (no contract) Unlimited BBM1 Unlimited Extreme Text Messaging2 Unlimited Picture & Video Messaging2 Unlimited Local Evening & Weekend Calling From 6pm3 they said since its a 3rd line, i would be able to get unlimited incomming for a year and any value pack for 50percent discount. what do you guys think? i would have jumped on this if it had caller id included with the 24.97.... |
Just got this plan with an iPhone 4, meets what I need perfectly. 200 Daytime Minutes Unlimited after 6PM + weekends Caller ID Voicemail Unlimited text/picture messaging 500mb Data (Unlimited for the first 2 months) Total per month = $48. I'm pretty happy with it! |
^ what did it take for you to make them do that for you |
Not much really. When I called, the first person I talked to said the best deal I could get was $70 and it didn't even include everything I got. Asked to be transferred to customer retention and they did. I did a bit of research on the best plans people have had from other companies and pretty much said that X company offered me this and that, and if Rogers could offer something better. Been a customer for X years, like the companies services but I need to get the best bang for my buck. I think a lot of it has to do with who you talk to, but don't settle until you're happy with what you got. |
so ive been negotiating my plan with retentions the last few days. been REALLY lucky with hot sounding females lol this is what ive committed to now 200 daytime mins unlimited eve/wknds at 6 pm unlimited incoming calling call forwarding/transfer =$17.50 unlimited canada wide network calling(rogers to fido/rogers) =$5 unlimited international texts, visual voicemail, call/name display =$20.79 - 50% =$10.40 6gb data plan =$30 monthly discounts(carried over from last yr retentions contract) -$10 data discount -$5 monthly plan discount $17.50 + $5 + $10.40 + $30 +$2.35 GRRF = $65.25 -$15 in discounts = 50.25 plus tax |

this is why i will not jump ship to mobilicity/wind etc. ya they might have cheaper unlimited plans or whatever, but rogers still has the best network in the country, and prob the best choice of handsets. maybe i should hold a "negotiating with rogers retention" masterclass haha. |
