This is pretty much bang on. Noikan was the first "all weather" tire. They have a dual compound tire on their asymetrical tread. Inside gets the softer rubber and outside gets the harder blockier all season rubber. Softer rubber is better when it is cold, and the harder blockier rubber makes the tire better on the highway, so they claim.

The downside to this is that these tires cost an arm and a leg since Kal Tire is the only place that sells the Noikans in Canada. And they wear out fast because of the softer compound.

Put it this way, I wouldn't trust less than 50% tread in the snow.

But this tire is meant for people who are too lazy or don't have storage for a set of dedicated snow tires.

Snow is all but gone in my area. Today was the first time in 2 weeks I got my car washed, felt good to have all that salt wash off and I must say, I was pretty impressed with my A5 in the snow. I didn't think it would hold up that well but it did very well in good amount of snow.

He comes from the side streets near renfrew station and bombs down the side streets behind the liquor store come out on to broadway rips it down broadway to boundry and the cuts every1 off at the turn light... Every day almost i see this at 9am and then again at 530 going back home i guess.

soooo, me n some friends decided to go for a drive tonight....went up cypress mountain...got to the top and saw a some people trying to get their car out of the snow..so we kept goin straight, got to the top, chilled for a few moments, got bored, headed back down...saw the guy standing in the middle of the road flaggin me down for some help...
