Can people stop with this shit? If Kes is injured or has a nagging injury I guarantee the doctors would not let him play. It's not the playoffs where the players are going to play through an injury.

After our dominating season last year teams are catching up. They realize its not just the Sedin's and they've all scouted our top players well. Sedin's are a bit more difficult to defend since they are more unpredictable. But with Kes its pretty easy, stop him from shooting/having a clear shot and you usually stop his line from producing. He has no playmaking vision. Kes just needs to adapt and listen to what AV says.

by that measure would you say if a goalie can save 2/3 shots, hes doing his job reasonably well, and the shooters need to match?

the only goalie shootout stat that matters is save percentage.

the canucks were 'the most hated team in the league' by flames and oiler and leaf fans on forums like TSN for about 3 years because they were playing well and the other fans were jealous. people talk shit when they are jealous of your success. they are noted for being soft and divers but certainly not hated for it.

look at the canucks road games, sometimes half the crowd is wearing canucks gear. maybe second only to detroit. a pretty big feat for an expansion team.

I thought 2 on 2 OT in roller hockey last season would be awesome, tons of space to skate and dangle. In reality, it sucked. Having only 1 person to pass to actually closes up lots of plays. And when you are constantly worried about getting trapped and letting a 2-1, 2-0, or breakaway going back the other way, the natural tendency is defense first and to challenge the other team to attack you and cause a turnover and send the play up. But of course they are thinking the exact same thing as me.

With 3 on 3 OT for NHL, you may think teams would just go for it since they don't have the point to lose. But if you cough the puck up or get trapped, you are going to look the fool for losing your team the game. I think in the minds of players, a loss is still a loss, regardless of whether you get the extra OTL point or not.

While that may be true, the sample size for Schneider is way smaller. He has allowed three goals on nine attempts, and if I remember correctly, all three goals were in the first game against the Leafs a couple years ago? That's why he's 2-1 in shootouts so far.
