Hey guys, need some advice.
I was driving home tonight and as I was going up the same hill I always go up, my headlights cut out to my DRL for half a second and turned on again.
At the same time, my TCS/DSC light came on for half a second and then turned off.

I was almost home but I drove around for about 5 minutes to see if it would happen again but it didn't.
Is this something I should be worried about?

Did it throw a code at all? Did you hit a bump or was it totally random?

The e-shift isn't a true shifter, it's a torque converter. There is a slight delay.

It's not a true shifter, as when you downshift, it just limits the gear that the car can go into, it's not the exact gear (eg. If you "downshift" from 5 to 3, that doesn't mean that the car is in gear 3, it means that the ECU has the choice to choose from Gear 1, Gear 2, or Gear 3. However it's smart enough not to blow up your engine, so it will choose gear 3)

my bet is what it will be the same as any other automatic. There's always going to be a delay when you have a torque converter.

I have never timed it, but it's about 1 second, feels like slightly less.

I know for sure it's not as long as 2 seconds though, that is LOOONG.

Funny story at work, don't know where else to post this, lol.

K, so I work as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for a pool in city of Vancouver. On Thursday, I have an hour of cleaning/lifeguarding after my teaching portion ends, at 8 pm. I was in the hot tub, and was gonna shower and change, then another lifeguard tells me someone took a shit in the men's changeroom washroom. Great. I got ready, and headed inside.

I expected like, a bit of leakage left on the seat or something. Usually they say "took a shit" but it only turns out to be a smear or something. Nope, not today. There was literally a log, in front of the toilet, on a piece of toilet paper. I almost puked when I saw it. I ran back out, grabbed the heavy duty disinfectant, and threw another shirt over my face, like a bandana.

I didn't wanna touch that shit, so I lined a dustpan with lots of tissue, threw more tissues over the turd, and swept it into the pan. Little did I know, there was a smaller turd under it, which just smeared when I swept it. I almost puked, again. This kid that regularly comes to the pool was watching me, laughing at my misfortune. I ran out, gathered up courage, and went back in to finish it up, sweeping and disinfecting the hell out of the area. Shittiest day at work, literally LOL.

Kay.. here's another couple shitty stories from work.

About a month ago, I went in to hose and sweep the changeroom again, and in a different stall, was diarrhea and shit all over the wall. It literally looked like someone took a shit, stood up, bent over, and shot shit all over. It covered the toilet, and ended at about 4 feet up on the wall. How someone can spurt so much poop still bewilders me.

Now, this is what the staff call "Diarrhea Sunday". This was in 2011 or so. Some old guy, started leaking in the shallow end of the pool. He notices, then wades over slowly to the ramp to get out. For some reason, he starts wiping his soiled shorts with his hand, and then grabs the handrail to help himself get out. There are now shitty handprints on the rail, and you can see shitty footprints leading from the stairs of the pool to the changeroom. A coworker goes in, and finds the footprints leading to the washroom, and finds a patty on the ground, near the toilet. The pool was completely shut down for the rest of the day, and about 400 bucks of chlorine was added to kill everything. Best part was, the dude got his pass renewed for free.

I've decided that when I get old and need to renew my pass, I'm gonna take a massive shit in the pool and complain that I'm old.

It’s a pretty rare event to find complete fossils in good condition. After millions of years any number of things could happen to destroy fossils before they are discovered and documented by scientists, if the animal even fossilizes at all. Finding well preserved baby animals is particularly hard, since they are more likely to have gotten trampled or eaten after their death. Phillip Currie from the University of Alberta has recently uncovered a juvenile Chasmosaurus belli that was so complete and intact, he was actually able to speculate about the cause of death.

Chasmosaurus belli is commonly found in British Columbia, Canada. It is a relative of the triceratops and has the familiar ornamental frill. Up to this point, all of the skeletons have been adults. Random bones of smaller dinosaurs have been discovered, but lacked the context of a full animal. The discovery of the 70-million-year-old juvenile, which was only about three years old at the time of death, reveals important clues about how the dinosaur grew and changed over the course of its life. As it turns out, the young C. bellis look a lot like the adults, just smaller. The newly-discovered young dino was about three years old at the time of its death, measuring about 5 feet (1.5 meters) long. Adults grew to be about 15 feet (5 meters) long, though the body plan is essentially unchanged. Other baby dinosaurs have proportionally longer legs to keep up with quick-moving adults, but that does not seem to be the case with this species.

The fossil was found in what used to be a riverbed. This has led Currie and his research team to believe that the baby didn’t die at the hands of a larger creature. It most likely wandered out too far into the water and got caught in the current. Unable to save itself, it drowned and settled at the bottom of the river, where it would eventually become fossilized in the sediment. I took a look, and yes, it appears to be mounted through the top via two screws just like in the link you provided. The plug is beside the vent on the top.

So what you're saying is that I could technically just unmount the current microwave, and replace it with a similar one, and remount it?

Once you take yours off, just measure the top dimensions and the location of the blower hole (I'm sure most are the same). I'd get someone to hold the unit from below, just to make sure it doesn't drop. There's a bracket attached to the wall that should hold it in place when the top screws are removed though.

Make sure you read the manual and that the blower is oriented for use with a vent pipe (not to recirculate out the front). It will also come with a new bracket and template. As long as the dimensions are the same as your old one, just replace the wall bracket and (possibly) drill new top mount holes.

One officer tickets me resulting in an $86 fine for illegal entry under the BC Transit Conduct and Safety Regulation Act Section 7(c) (not MVA). No points on my license, but damn..$86 bucks gone. Wondering if I should dispute it or not since I did illegally enter the lot but I went in less than 10% obstructing nothing

Audi 'morally responsible' for 4,500 deaths

Auto Union's connections to the Nazi party were revealed recently in a historical study commissioned by Audi.

Just because a credit card has SOME insurance coverage doesn't mean it's enough. MBNA website sucks. But a quick search on the TD Gold Elite (http://www.tdcanadatrust.com/products-services/banking/credit-cards/view-all-cards/gold-elite.jsp#features-benefits), show that it covers Auto Rental Collision/ Loss Damage; I guess this is similar to ICBC's Collision and comprehensive coverage, but it doesn't specify Third Party Liability which is probably more important. If you have ICBCs Roadstar or Roadside Plus package, this would be sufficient.

MacKay was responding to a Toronto Star report Wednesday about an Ontario Bar Association meeting at which he was asked about the lack of women and visible minorities on federally appointed court benches.

MacKay answered the question by saying that women don’t apply to be judges because they fear the job will take them away from their children — and that children need their mothers more than their fathers, the Star report said.

Rather than back away from the comments Thursday, MacKay reinforced them.

“At early childhood, there’s no question I think that women have a greater bond with their children,” he said.

He went on to say that Canada needs more women to apply for judicial appointments, but then walked away from reporters who asked him about the discrepancy.

As of June 1, 24 of the 81 federally appointed judges in Canada were women — just shy of 30 per cent.

Some of MacKay’s Conservative colleagues appeared uncomfortable with his remarks.

Calgary MP Michelle Rempel said parliamentarians should celebrate women, no matter their career choices — including staying at home.

Ontario MP Mike Wallace, who chairs the justice committee, refused to comment on the matter, saying it’s up to MacKay to defend his own statements.

And Quebec MP Maxime Bernier laughed off MacKay’s comments, but was quick to point out that he has a “special bond” with his daughters.

Several men and women who were on hand for the meeting with MacKay described the minister’s remarks to the Star as “disappointing,” “frustrating” and “offensive.”

The internet gave me hypochlorite as 1.11g/cm^3, if 5% is chlorine then you get 0.0555g/cm^3 chlorine or 55,500mg/L. 100gal water is 378.541L.

(density required) * (volume of water) = (density of chlorine) * (volume of chlorine)
(120mg/L) * (378.541L) = (55,500mg/L) * X
(120mg/L) * (378.541L) / (55,500mg/L) = X ----- Move the chlorine density over
(120) * (378.541L) / (55,500) = X ----- cancel units
0.818467027L = X ----- Sig figs as appropriate, I was never good at that part though.

Pretty sure that's what you need to do. Bear in mind I'm not a chem person, just a bit of a math/logic person so double check the hypochlorite density and water volume conversion (I know there are different gallons).

That's the exact same equation, I just blew it up and added units since he said "grade 3 explanation". Which is good since you fucked up the units I bolded. If you take L of bleach per L of water and multiply by L of water, you get L of bleach, not gallons.

I fucked up too and didn't notice he said he needs gallons of hypochlorite, which makes it easier since you don't need to care which gallons since you can leave the volumes in gallons. Double check the density of hypochlorite you're using though.

Pick a good password that's different from your other ones. Only time I screwed up with paypal was when I had it setup with 2 different bank accounts and I accidentally drew money from an empty bank account, got charged with overdraft from the bank.

As far as buying with paypal, very secure IMO. Paypal tends to side with buyers if there is ever a dispute. Remember, even if paypal doesn't side with you if there's a dispute, you can still call your credit card company and have them reverse the charges

You should be able to find all this online, but you pay right away, you have 45 days to start a dispute if you have any issues, only tie PP to your credit card (not your bank account) since your credit card can be backup in case PP fails you, NEVER EVER EVER pay someone as a "gift" to save them fees, for one it's against PP policy for them to ask you to do that and you are completely fucked if you gift the money and something goes wrong.

Also since I'm assuming you haven't ordered from the US before, if the product will be shipped across the border DO NOT let them ship UPS or you'll have a buttload of fees at your door.

i went to that supermarket on canada day. prices were high. even price mart stuff is cheaper and i consider them expensive.

T&T / Weston will be fine.. honestly I think they are moving because they want to redevelop the whole mall into something higher density... Would be great for Richmond body shops if they make it like Parker place parking lot!

I think Real are Mainlander newcomers.. it seem to be a battle between old school Taiwanese / HK / Southern China 2nd Geners vs New immigrants with tons of cash.
