To be fair, all of the Libs failures have really been in the last 2 years. They did an objectively good job compared to other nations that are like ours (US, UK, Sweden, etc.) with their Covid response.
Maybe you would have liked the idea of cons being in power through all that, but I'm sure that would have changed when your loved ones were dying, because that literally happened to A LOT of people I knew in the US, or people with families in Brazil and other places that really fucked it up.

Back in the day I had a number of people using my pictures to catfish on websites like Plenty Of Fish. I'd always get these random comments now and then from girlfriends saying "I saw you on POF, how come?" (I had a GF at the time, and never had a POF account). It was causing me some issues because even my GF's friends were coming across these random accounts.

Fast forward to a year later a friend of mine texts me saying "Why you messaging me on POF, when you already have my phone number?".

I got excited, I might finally catch this account.

I message her back indicating that isn't me, and to send me a link to the account. Low the behold it's some fucker named "Charlie" using my photos.

We begin to plan a setup of sorts. "Charlie" is very adamant, sending her sexual comments, having not even met her. I tell her to play along with it, and tell him she's down to meet up. She plans a day with him and he offers to pick her up, and drive her back to Surrey to his house. I give her a random address in Burnaby to which I was sitting in my car waiting, ready to confront this guy.

The day of the meetup he's messaging her all this sexual shit, and about an hour before meetup he asks if his "cousin" can join them, and if she's down to get fucked by the both of them, all this other nasty shit.

Little does "Charlie" know, me and a buddy are sitting in my car waiting for him at this address he thinks he's picking up this girl from.

About 30 minutes before the pickup he gets cold feet and gives her some excuse that he has a "last minute" wedding he has to attend. I was never able to exact my revenge on Charlie, however I was able to get all of his details and information from his phone number through some connections.

This is many years ago but I'll never forget this dude, who knows how many women he messaged using my pictures and saying all that crap. Caused me a number of headaches. I never understood his plan, he didn't even look like me, who knows what he would've ended up doing to that friend of mine or any other girl had they gone back there with him.

I've brought this up on the forum a few times, story of my life.

My last 2 vehicle leases I was well up in equity to resell either privately or back to the dealership.

Fast forward to the last year of the lease and the last 2 vehicles had someone hit me at their fault with bodywork damage.

Given the prices of parts/painting/etc even minor damage comes out to $5K+ in repairs.

I've easily lost around $6-8K in positive equity on these vehicles as a result of an accident completely out of fault.

It's fucking ridiculous, given the price of repairs are going up each year, why is the onus on the non-fault driver to lose their equity as a result of someone else's fuck up?

You try reselling a vehicle repaired at a valet shop @ $8-$10K and see if your buyer responds with "good as new, then".

I literally had my last vehicle repaired at Open Road's own "valet" body shop, once the topic of any accidents and repair costs came up their buy-out offer instantly dropped by $8,000.

Even if everything else was shit motor/transmission wise compared to the vehicle with superficial claims, the car without any claims will always be worth more on paper.

I’m glad it was just the bumper in our case because I don’t think it will get written off, that’s about the only upside here. Now it just turns our long term plans with this car into keeping it until it does VS trading it in toward somthing.

As well, as with so many before me, if this accident had written our car off, all it does it force me to spend hella more money to get another vehicle. Because whatever I’d get for this car, I’d have to spend another 15-25 to get a vehicle we’d keep long term. The plan was to make this car last 2-3 years longer then drop 60-70 on something new, but this type of BS, completely driven by a stranger hitting our car could have easily forced us to spend a bunch of money we otherwise wouldn’t have had to as well.

Look for staging mattresses on FB - you can often find "new" Endy or Douglas or similar for 300-500. These were used in demo apartments/homes for staging for sale, and then they need to get rid of them. I got a Logan & Cove for 350 and have been happy with it.

Costco has pretty crazy deals, we have a “Kirkland” mattress that from all accounts is just a rebranded high end Serta. Costco includes the delivery in online sales etc.

The only issue is you can’t try them before hand. The mattress ours is apparently a copy of is a $4000 mattress we got for $2200 I think. It’s super comfortable but a little too soft for us I think, but for the headache of returning etc. we can live with it for now.

Have a few friends with endys etc. all seem pretty good for a spare bedroom etc. not sure if I’d use it as my main though.

My working theory on why the burgers are so good there, is they use a little more salt on their meat. That and the patties are cooked to order instead of sitting in a warmer tray for hours so it's juicier.

The best burger I've ever eaten was at Montreal Pool Room. Part of that may have been that it was the only place open after trekking all over trying to find food at the end of a very long day but it's been there since 1912 so it has to be doing something right. Man, I love Burlington! Went on a road trip in 2013 from Toronto to Boston and stopped in Burlington overnight. Love that city. The lake views, the old architecture, youthful because of the university. Robson Street could be like Church Street if the city ever got its act together.

I remember coming down some residential main road in northvan, it was quite backed up with traffic, and a motorcylist decided he could ride the shoulder past everyone (as they normally do), a dude pulled out of his driveway at normal speed, and the motorcylist rammed and flipped over the car, proceeded to lose his marbles on the car driver.

I gave my contact to the car driver, knowing the motorcylist is a typical retard.
Sure enough about a month later icbc calls claiming the "car drove" into the motorcycle, and needed a witness, another month later the car owner called me and said thank you as the charges were blamed 100% on the motorcyclist.

I fucking hate people that will do stupid shit, and then blame innocent people for their stupidity. So many times people dont get any witness, and end up being screwed over.

I think ive mentioned it here before, several years ago i was at a supplier picking up parts on the loading dock.
Im waiting around, and i look out to the main turn around area, a big 10 ton? truck is stopped, and behind him is a smaller workvan.
The 10 ton starts to back up, the workvan starts profusely honking, and the 10 ton driver reverses into the workvan.

It was a clear case of 10 ton driver at fault. I gave my contact to the workvan driver just incase.

A month or two later i get a call from icbc and sure enough, once again, the 10 ton driver claimed that the workvan drove into / rear ended, the 10 ton.

A got a call a few weeks later from the workvan owner offering me cash, because i was the only person who left my number apparently. I just said pass it on obviously. He told me if i ever need a job at another hvac company to call him, i got his number saved just incase lol

This kid with an old Acura TL was stranded in the middle of the road (no1 rd and williams), he had hazards on. Everyone was honking at him but nobody helped. So i pulled over and helped push his car out of the intersection.
