Yes, actually the hard drive is failing. We will have to schedule a time to replace the hardware, or perhaps switch to a cloud server for the time being so there is no downtime. If the cloud works out, we might just keep the database there.

Heard there's a new buffet at Bellingham that's pretty good.
Anyone been there before? Or know of the name?
Well aware of the Tulalip one. But I wasn't heading that far as I was only down to pick up some packages.
Turns out the name was: "Super Buffet"
Super Buffet - Bellingham | Urbanspoon (http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/88/1631758/restaurant/Super-Buffet-Bellingham)
Heard the seafood there (king crab leg, sushi, etc) was quite good. But reviews are 50/50. Give it a try while it last....as we know all of these buffets will start going downhill after awhile.
$8.99 - Lunch (M-F)
$13.99 - Dinner (M-F)
$13.99 - All day weekends
Anyone try this yet? The reviews look REALLY mixed..

ACAPULCO 6.5 EARTHQUAKE
MEXICO CITY (AP) — A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck Mexico’s western Guerrero State on Saturday night, shaking buildings and causing panic in the nation’s capital and in the Pacific resort of Acapulco. Officials said at least three people died, but there were no reports of widespread damage.
Connect With Us on Twitter
Follow @nytimesworld for international breaking news and headlines.
The U.S. Geological Service initially estimated the quake magnitude at 6.8, but downgraded it to 6.7 and then 6.5. A quake of that magnitude is capable of causing severe damage, although the depth of this one lessened its impact.
The geological service said the quake occurred at a depth of 40.3 miles. It was centered about 26 miles southwest of Iguala in Guerrero and 103 miles southwest of Mexico City.
Mexico’s Interior Department said the quake was felt in parts of nine states.
Humberto Calvo, undersecretary of Guerrero’s Civil Protection agency, said three deaths had been reported in the state. He said one man was killed when a house’s roof collapsed in Iguala; a second died in the small town of Ixcateopan, and the driver of a cargo truck was killed by rocks that fell on the vehicle driving on the toll highway linking Acapulco with Mexico City.
High-rises swayed in the center of Mexico City for more than a minute, and shoppers were temporarily herded out of some shopping centers until the danger passed.

There's a sea documentary that came out before Planet Earth which also features David Attenborough that's called... The Blue Planet: Seas of Life. It's pretty neat. Not sure if that's what you're looking for but it only focuses on aquatic life.
There have been rumors about it being moved to Blu-Ray but not sure if it has been released just yet. I have the DVD's and the footage is fairly high definition.

You know...I'm ok with that. As I said, I get that there are people that walk in and need a hand guiding them through the whole purchase. I don't want to sound all high and mighty, but when I have a question, its usually on the technical side-like my toilet. I have very specific specs, and I need specific answers...and they aren't there.
I find it great that there are all kinds of staff, and for the most part they do have knowledge in the field-but half the time I'm in the middle of determining for myself if something is going to work, and I get, "do you need help finding anything?" No man...I need help being left alone to plan out what I need to do to deal with a) some shitty design I inherited, or b) some shitty previous repair that really screwed it up for me in the first place. I don't know, I'd probably bitch that there was never anyone around if I needed help, but it doesn't come across as genuine.
I'm in there enough that I can almost determine the pattern of the speeches in the morning meetings. It was hilarious one day, I went to check out and had a tub, 4 sheets of cement board and some plumbing components. So this chick is cashing me out, and she pauses for a second and starts stumbling a bit with her words and asks something like, "you found everything you were looking for?, did you also need...some....(stalling to think of something)...caulking?"
Honey...if the tub is in the back of my truck, I am very frigging far from needing caulking.
I know, I know...that might spark others to go and run for the caulking that they forgot, but damn, it just stops ringing true after awhile, you know? And you could just tell that when her shift started at 3, there was a big ra ra meeting emphasizing up selling based on the purchase. Here's all I need, "Hi! Did you find everything you were looking for? Don't know if you noticed, but tile is on sale this week if you were holding off" No thanks...I have it. Or Thanks! I'll go take a look.
Oh Home Depot...equally annoying to every other place I buy shit...except my cabinet store. They are awesome to deal with.
I think CTC is even worse. There if you have a question, the 17 year old kid hates you for asking it, and they have those annoying roving mother fuckers that will not take no for an answer on their credit card.
I just tell them I'm in bankruptcy, and thinking about it has ruined my shopping experience.
They stopped charging for bags because the law that required charging for bags was only applicable in Toronto, they were just doing it and donating the 5c/per bag to the Home Depot Canada Foundation(Charity)....its a good thing they don't charge for bags anymore
a lot of customers bitch about it, now they're happy
and fuck lowes :) you know why they have those buttons in every aisle to call for help? because they don't have nearly as much staff as the Home Depot(which I find is short staffed at times too)
I could go on a very long rant about Home Depot, I worked there for almost three years, which at times I'm almost ashamed of. The reality is though, I was never one of the ignorant seventeen year old kids who learned everything they know from a two hour computer program, I was just their because the cashiers look good wearing nothing but an orange apron and there's a new batch every summer.
Instead of hiring four seventy year old men, who honestly believe they know everything about construction, but whose memories are so poor they can't remember where anything in the store except the bathroom is, and two eighteen year olds who are starting out on their lifetime path of dead end jobs, hire one plumber. Not the recovering addict plumber, who no one in the industry is willing to employee and you can pay twenty dollars an hour, a real plumber. That one person could give more and better service than the six other people wandering around confused.
For a long time I worked strictly weekends, just to make a bit of extra cash while working my real job during the week. I made in the high twenties at my real job, and fifteen dollars an hour at HD, which was considered extremely high. I was made very clear, that wage could go higher and I could move to the pro-desk and work full time, which actually appealed to me since I'm back in school full time, but the condition was that I sell credit cards. I'm one of the most knowledgeable people in the entire store, my record sale is over $2 million dollars (a bunch of kit cabins to a lodge), and you won't give me a raise or promote me because I don't pester people to sign up for credit cards? seriously?!?
It's not surprising that the Langley store, where I worked, was losing millions of dollars a year.
Oh well, at least I can take solace in the fact that I slept with more cashiers than I solicited customers credit cards.

Suggestions?
1) Ask if a homeless person is hungry. Instead of giving him your change, take him to McDonalds and buy him dinner.
2) Instead of buying that new game you don't necessarily need, spend that money on some toys and donate 'em!
Thank you. Merry Christmas and happy holidays =]

It's not surprising that the Langley store, where I worked, was losing millions of dollars a year.
Oh well, at least I can take solace in the fact that I slept with more cashiers than I solicited customers credit cards.
First, gotta say that Langley must hire way hotter cashiers than north Surrey, because dayum, we gotta get some Nair on that hairlip.
I had a customer years ago that used to work at HD Langley probs around 2002, and he spoke pretty badly of it. Described it as very "culty" and that the morning meetings were very "ra-ra" which I could tell, was not his style. It's really not mine either, and when my career job turned that way, I bailed.
I kind of get their problem. Upselling at HD would be a bitch. Normally I'm in and out and I know what I'm buying before I arrive. I occasionally see something that grabs my eye, or a tool and I'm too lazy to go and save 30% with a drive to Summit, but for the most part, day to day I'm buying for a project, or home repair's needs.
So the real way to upsell, is convenience. You have a HD cc, and that may direct you to more and more purchases there, because we all know, its buy now, pay later.
My issue is, when it interrupts my service. I've had people start a credit card conversation on the floor with me during assisting me in finding something. Really? Fuck off.
I'd really like to attend one of those shift start meetings, It would explain so much ;)

You're welcome - I only found out about the coupon yesterday afternoon; luckily Safeway has lots of eggs in stock :lol, though the crates were almost empty in the first row. I wonder what the marketing/promo person at Safeway was thinking... the regular price for a dozen was $3.11 at my local store. The lowest I've seen locally, recently, was $1.99 at Shoppers a couple months ago. Even in the states, it's not this cheap, a $1.33/dozen. It's like a pre-Boxing day sale! :nyan:

Definitely a good find.
BTW, I would stay away from US eggs. Fine if you cook with them, but raw, like Sukiyaki dip or other uses, it's a no go. Shoppers used to bring in US eggs. They have Canada Grade A eggs now.
Safeway on Broadway and Commercial ran out, but had some out back. They couldn't get to them last night, so they are honouring the coupons today. All they did was change the 15th to the 16th by changing the 5 to a 6, LOLOLOL. Not even a signature or a stamp, so if anyone else wants eggs at that price.......

Anyway, the other day, I bought eggs from No Frills. The yolk was freakingly dark yellow. Actually more like orange. Must be what they feed the chickens.

I was actually planning on bringing up eggs in VLS soon..
Being vegetarian, I feel much better about including free range than factory farmed eggs in my diet, and therefore since moving out on my own five years ago that's all I've purchased. The yolks are more orange than yellow, the shells seem thick in comparison to other eggs and albumen (white) has a bit of colour as opposed to being nearly clear, of course, that all adds up to a better taste. I didn't actually recall how profound the difference was until a friend cooked me breakfast the other day using FF eggs.. The specific reasons for my dietary choices aside, I would only buy free range eggs because of the difference in taste..

Anyone remember the Knowledge Network show Kid Zone which later became Kids at Kerrisdale/Kerrisdale High? I've been wanting to watch an old intro or an episode or anything for nostalgia's sake but nothing comes up. There are entries for the show on both Wikipedia and IMDB but that's all I could come up with.

The only real difference between free range and non free range is that the free range chickens eat whatever they come across. Whatever happens to be on the ground, they'll eat, be it food, seeds, dog shit, dead mice, etc. They also fight a lot and peck each others skin apart and eat that too. I can see how that would make the eggs and meat taste better too.

I grew up on a farm where we had free range eggs in abundance. There is nothing quite like the difference in taste between factory grown and processed, watered down crap and 100% free range from your own backyard eggs retrieved that morning.
In fact, one better was I had pet geese. She only laid for a certain amount of time each year, but you could have a one egg omelette that would fill your plate-after you wrestled the thing open.
I really miss farm fresh, produced by your own labor, straight from the backyard food. Hell, when we were fully up and running, the heat in the house would be from wood that we cut, split, stacked and stored ourselves, with 2 freezers full of a cow that we raised ourselves, a turkey that we raised from a chick on xmas that tasted like something not on this planet and for a few years mom would bake a lot of our own bread and do pickling in the fall.
NOw we save-on. Yippie.

That's completely incorrect, although diet is a factor, it's only one of many.

enable view hidden folders under folder options and go through your ipod until you find a folder with 20-30 different folders. all your songs should be in those folders.

an article about Ron Wayne; Apple Co-Founder whose share was bought out before the company got off
long article btw most of its just describing the town.... -_- but there are snippets of interesting shit
Two days in the desert with Apple's lost founder, Ron Wayne -- Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/19/two-days-in-the-desert-with-apples-lost-founder-ron-wayne/)
Jobs is a douche
(Wayne wrote a book titled Adventures of an Apple Founder asked if Woz/Jobs would write a little something)
"For his part, Wozniak graciously wrote the forward to Adventures – something Jobs outright refused to participate in, telling Wayne, bluntly, "I don't think you're a founder of the company," in an email – it was their first communication since 2000, and it would ultimately prove to be their last.

I"m surprised at the number of people driving around with a headlight burnt out, especially at this time of year where it's rainy and dark for a good portion of the day. Get you bulbs changed, it's not that hard to do. There's already enough bad drivers on the road, no need to make it any more dangerous out there.
:okay:
One headlight burned out on my wife's MR2 Spyder 3-4 weeks ago but we didn't do anything about it... but last week, the other one burned out too. We were driving on Lougheed Highway when it seemed a little darker than usual. Driving with no headlights and no street lamps, not a great idea. We parked it after getting home until I changed the bulbs a few days later...

i have a 32 " sony LCD tv.. using it as my monitor.
Connection from my tower to my pc is as follow,
Nvidia 8800gt graphics with 2 dvi outputs, dvi to hdmi cord.. My max resolution is 1920x 1080
The font is so ugly. but if i bring it down to (recommended) seettings, which is 1280x720, it would be nice.
So what can i do ?
sonick

Nothing you can do, putting it to your TV's native resolution (i.e. recommended setting) will give the best picture quality to avoid scaling.

I went there about 2 months after the quake, and it was noticeably darker (and warmer, since air conditioners weren't being used as much). Aside from that though, it was the same as ever. Except I now have a third arm growing from the back of my neck.

Just a heads up....... there have been a bunch of break-ins in North Burnaby. Just behind me, someone kicked the door down in an attempt to rob the place. Residents were inside at the time. Police combed the area, but no signs of the burglars. This was about an hour ago. There's another house alarm going off in the distance. I imagine this is the favourite time of year for burglars. Not sure what extra precautions you can take. Anyway.............
Jeebus.... just channel surfing and came across some program where a group of young Asian chicks are prancing around in short skirts. Damn............ some are meh, but a couple are damn nice/cute. Lady Gaga? Oh, she's going to be performing at some annual song fest, LOL. TV Japan.
Now, if we can only have white chicks prancing around like that........... j/k. Can white chicks be kawaii?

It's my best friend's birthday in 3 weeks and I want to do something special for him. I was thinking of getting a suite that could hold maybe 5-10 people? Bag of M&M's in pocket and a water bottle is all I need.
If they ask about water bottle, I tell them I have to take my meds in half an hour. That usually does it, but they rarely ask. If they do ask, I tell them, "Do you want me to make a scene right here and now about how you are going to prevent me from taking my meds?" That shuts them up real quick." If ever asked what kind of pills, I will most likely say Ritalin or Heart meds.
Water bottles are generally OK just about anywhere. I went into Rogers Arena with no problem the other day.
Hey, if a woman can carry a whole case of pop between her legs and under her skirt, I can at least hide a bag of M&M's in my coat pocket, LOL.

Does that mean almost every single one of their vehicle will receive a face-lift / new generation this year? Personally, I hope they release the new IS generation soon. The current generation has been going on for more than 6+ years. Toyota/Lexus has been too busy focusing on the new FR-S and 2013 GS, they been leaving the IS series out :(

You could always get a normal plastic drop-cloth for painting from Home Depot/Rona/etc. and just wrap it around/over and tape closed.. Would protect it aswell. :D

Go to Rona or Home Depot and look for heavy plastic sheets in the construction section (vapour barrier). Not bags, but if you tape it up properly it will be more than adequate. Plastic drop sheets used for painting is OK, but are pretty flimsy. Also, the vapour barrier (depending on which thickness you get) is pretty strong stuff, so you can reuse it for all kinds of other stuff.
Search with keyword(s): vapour barrier - Rona.ca (http://rona.ca/shop/shop?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&page=1&langId=-1&keywords=vapour+barrier)
Hope the move goes well, BaBiE_Bee. If not, RS help is a post away.
