Same thing happened to me except it jumped a lot more like 4gb and all at the same time. I'm with rogers just gave them a call the guy went through there system and reversed it then put a note on my account to check before the bill went through that it was actually reversed took like 30mins

I bought a sony a couple of years ago in the boxing day sale at FS for like $300 and I love it. It's about as good as you can get without going dslr.
It's kind of like this one, but 15x optical lens.
http://sonydigitalcamera.digital-cameras-review.org/images/sony%20cybershot.jpg
I have gotten to play around with some nicer photography but not invest heavily in a hobby that doesn't really appeal to me to spend $2000.
The one thing is its still pretty small, but not super convenient to take everywhere small. My gf has a small one that we use for outings where its a "maybe" that we'll take quick pics.

^ we take mine b/c your battery like is balls!
if you are looking at buying an inexpensive camera, make sure it can take regular AA batteries and not some weird-ass sony bullshit batteries that take hours to charge. also, make sure all the cords, plugs, etc are universal along with the memory chip.
grid's camera may look nice and take great photos....but we never use it b/c the battery is always dead, he can never find the cord to transfer to pics to his computer, and the memory card is unusual.
he may go through a lot of AA batteries, but if he is EVER going to travel he will have a terrible time always having to charge or having to buy a specific adapter. plus....who wants to carry around a charger?!

Anybody know what the cheapest Pay-As-You-Go plan is in Vancouver?
It's for my mom who barely uses any of her minutes, but it's convenient for her to have a phone. Basically, she's paying for credits with Rogers, if you buy $100, it'll last for a year. The roll-over minutes aren't even worth anything because she doesn't use them!
If it's a monthly top-up, it's $10 a month (even then, she won't use up all her minutes) - but that's another $20 a year she needs to spend.
Honestly, I think $100 a year is plenty cheap, but she's thinking of just getting rid of it (which will cause more headaches for me, tbh), so does anybody know of a cheaper plan?
I don't care for texting/voicemail because she won't use those things.
Thanks!

KAMLOOPS (NEWS1130) - A man from Surrey is presumed dead after a fiery 6.5-hour standoff in Kamloops.
Mounties say the armed man broke into his ex-girlfriend's home around 5:20 p.m. yesterday. The 44-year-old woman was in the house with her new boyfriend and four children; two boys aged nine and 11, and two girls aged eight and 13.
RCMP say the suspect fired a shot into the ceiling and let everyone except his ex-girlfriend leave.
During negotiations, the man told police he was still distraught over their break-up two years ago. He also said he there were explosives wired to his body, in the home, and that there were other bombs wired to the gas tank of his vehicle and inside the van. The suspect is an electrician and described to the negotiatior how the bombs could be set off remotely.
The 48-year-old man released the woman around midnight, but shortly after, two explosions went off inside the home, causing a fire that began to spread dangerously close to the van. Not long after that, a third bomb went off inside the house.
RCMP waited nervously until firefighters were able to put out the flames. A bomb squad was able to disarm the remaining explosives, likely saving several lives.
The house is now a pile or rubble; investigators are looking for the suspect's remains. His name hasn't been released.

I hope the rest of its family is OK. There have been a lot of mother ducks crossing roadways recently, with the ducklings in tow. I saw one at the foot of the No. 2 Rd bridge last week - hopefully she wasn't relocating because of being displaced by the nearby River Green development.

There are starter bird pellets you can buy...but no one is going to sell a small amount for just a guest that stays for a few days.
They will eat grass and love dandelion leaves. Instead of leaving a bowl of water for it, just fill up a large tub with water and some way for it to get in or out and it will drink and swim at the same time. Not to mention, be crazy adorable to watch.
I grew up on a small hobby farm and we had cows, chickens a donkey and because of my sister, one singular sheep, but my favorites were the ducks and geese.
I had 2 pet geese that I raised from two days old and they were so much fun. They identified with me and would come running and trying to fly across the yard to me.

Going to add...tons of water, like a lot. They actually eat and drink at the same time to aid in digestion. And don`t hand feed it, as you want it to go back to the "wild", as wild as we get in a city.
We actually trained a duck to play fetch. So much fun. You can buy ducklings and goslings for like $5, and its seriously the best money to spend on an animal. So expensive to winter them though...that food is so expensive when you are 12 man and they shit through it like its not even there.

If you're serious about potentially purchasing the ITR, the topic is certainly worthy of the exposure having it's own thread would provide. Revscene gets too pretentious sometimes. I'd be surprised if no one here could provide information on the chain of ownership, but not everyone reads this thread.
The only bit of extra knowledge I can give is that it's been up for sale for quite some time, which isn't too helpful but might give you leverage when negotiating. The price is definitely a bit high by local standards.

Anyway, it's been a couple years and there is now a large indent of my body in the bed. The bed is comfortable and I love it, but is this natural?
The problem is when derpette sleeps over it messes everything up because the bed literally has a sink hole type grove in it. So the person not sleeping in the grove (me) inherently rolls towards the one into the grove because when i'm on the outside of the bed, the bed angles down towards the grove a little.
Just wondering if anyone else that has a memory foam or memory foam type bed can comment.

I don't have one, but I don't think its normal for a mattress to hold a groove/sag like that; if it gets to a certain depth you can even claim it under warranty if it's still valid and you turned the mattress as instructed.

I've been using a full memory foam mattress for the past four years or so, and I haven't noticed any grooves or wear in any particular part of the mattress.

What's a free web based proxy to get on facebook in China?
you can use VPN.
I went to UBC, and UBC has VPN connection, when I was in China, I used VPN and I was able to use gmail google talk to call local phone here. Skype works as well. Thus facebook will work too

I think I may have to claim according to Invisiblesoul.
You can't turn my mattress as the bottom isn't soft.

Thanks.
I think there is a five year warranty on Sealy mattress. Now I just have to dig up the receipt.

Missing Police Firearm | Vancouver Police Department (http://mediareleases.vpd.ca/2012/05/24/missing-police-firearm/)
An intensive search is underway in the Downtown Eastside for a missing police firearm. A Sig Sauer P226 pistol with serial number U778210 was lost during a foot chase Wednesday afternoon near Oppenheimer Park. A man was allegedly seen by a witness picking up the firearm, but he has yet to come forward to police.
After working through the past 24 hours to exhaust all investigative avenues, the VPD is turning to the public for assistance to find the firearm. Anyone who finds the pistol should assume it is loaded and take every precaution to avoid touching it. They should immediately call 9-1-1 for assistance.
The firearm was lost in an incident that began around 3 pm on the afternoon of May 23 when two plainclothes VPD officers saw a drug deal in the north lane of the 300 block of Cordova Street. When one of the officers confronted the suspect, he ran away across Oppenheimer Park. The officer gave chase and pursued the suspect on foot through the 200 block of Dunlevy Street, across Oppenheimer Park and into the 300 block of Jackson Avenue, where the suspect, who was hiding in some bushes, was taken into custody.
The second officer returned to the police car and drove to the arrest point a short distance away to help with the arrest. Once the situation was under control, the arresting officer realized that his police firearm had dislodged from its holster during the chase. A search for the pistol was immediately launched.
An intensive canvass of the area for witnesses and video has since revealed that a man may have picked up the firearm from where it had fallen in the park but he has not come forward to turn it over to police. Investigators are continuing to work various leads in an effort to find the man and the missing pistol.
A bulletin has been issued to local law enforcement agencies about the missing firearm.
Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately, Crime Stoppers at 1(800) 222-8477, or the Sister Watch Tip Line at 604-215-4777.

Got bored so headed down south to check out some US casinos. I've been to Tulalip, but not the others. Today, I hit Silver Reef, Angels of the Wind, and Skagit Valley. You sign up at these casinos and they give you freebies, like voucher for 5 dollar slots play, along with a card that gets you discounts on food at their restaurants. Never realized there were so many casinos in Washington State. I kinda liked the Angels of the Wind casino. Free drinks (pop and coffee) and really cheap food. 99¢ for fish and chips and $1.49 for shrimp cocktail. Cheap thrills south of the border, LOL.
After the casino run, I headed over to Trader Joes and was looking forward to some nice Edaleen Dairy ice cream, but they were closed.

Yeah, I think it's all locations. Saw the same announcement at the Pender & Seymour location.
I'm hoping $1.25 is including tax, but if it isn't, that means it becomes $1.40... which is hardly a deal anymore. I'd rather go to other pizza joints and pay $1.75.

I personally think this would be worth its own thread but I'm not really sure how much others would care...Basically 2 married women from Surrey/Vancouver go to Las Vegas; one of the husbands hires a private investigator and catches them both cheating and puts up recordings on youtube to basically ruin their reps forever....nothing all that great on the video, just shows the girls walking around with 2 guys, who it seems that they knew BEFORE they got to Vegas....eventually the vid shows one of the girls going into the other guy's room...

Anyone know what the deal is with all the police escorts around town these days? In the past 2 days I came across 2 in the downtown core and another one last week.
Today was just a few undercover police vehicles being escorted down by English Bay, but yesterday was a Seattle Police bus and several Washington-plated vehicles along with it.
Is it just coincidence there are so many lately? What's the deal, and why are they so necessary anyways? If you were moving a VIP around it would make more sense to do it in secret and not draw so much attention...

Marks has been moved for a couple weeks now already. That's the biggest pic thats out there right now. It's going to be so nice having everything in one area.
I wouldnt be surprised if they put in a Montana's as well. Looks like it's going to be a copy of the new complex they have in White Rock.
Did you notice the new Mark's on Lougheed by Silvercity (moved from Winner's lot)? There's also a Fatburger beside it.
I wonder if they're going to keep the Swiss Chalet in MR since it's only 15min down Lougheed.
I was just glad we finally got a Cora's over here.

I have been using the Langham hotel to take dumps in for 6 years (there aren't many clean bathrooms in MK), but their bathrooms aren't very well maintained anymore compared to the mall bathrooms these days. On a newer car, a $1900 accident isn't big at all. Someone was probably just breathing too heavy next to the car or something..

so probably the other person didn't shoulder check before changing lane thus causes collision in result of dent and paint lost? $1900 sounds right for those cosmetic fixes?

Yeah.. seems like it. scuffs, repaint, new handle, new window could easily run into $1900. What car was it? BMW and MB like to rape people on parts cost, so there's no way a $1900 claim was much more than a ding/dent and paint loss.

In Japan, there's a scary sight on a port in Isumi City of Chiba Prefecture. The ground has been covered by 200 tons of dead, rotting sardines and the ocean has been stained red with their blood. It looks like a beach from hell.
According to Japan Today, the rotting sardine beach started crashing onto the shore over the weekend and continued into this week. It's insane that there were so many sardines on the ground it looked like rocky sand. The smell from the sardines, as you can imagine, is god awful and cleanup projects have begun to bury the sardines in landfills. The scariest thing is that no one is sure why this is happening, some are saying it's a lack of oxygen, others are pointing to it as an omen for another disaster.

Bill C-304: Hate Speech Clause's Repeal Gives White Supremacists Rare Moment Of Glee (http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2012/06/08/bill-c-304-hate-speech-tories_n_1581437.html)
A Conservative private members’ bill that repeals part of Canada’s hate speech laws has passed the House of Commons with scant media attention, and even less commentary. But it's being cheered by many Canadian conservatives as a victory for freedom of speech. And it's being cheered most vocally by another group: White supremacists.
Bill C-304, introduced by Conservative backbencher Brian Storseth, repeals Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act, which bans hate speech transmitted over the Internet or by telephone. It passed third reading in the House of Commons on Thursday and is now headed to the Senate.
“This is a huge victory for freedom in Canada,” a poster calling him or herself “CanadaFirst” posted on the website of StormFront, a notorious white supremacist group. “However, we still have other unjust Zionist ‘hate’ laws that need to go.”
“Way to go, Harper. I know we can’t get everything we want, but I stand a little taller today as a Canuck,” wrote “OneMan.”
The new law doesn’t make hate speech legal on the web or by phone -- hate speech remains illegal under the Criminal Code. But by removing it from the Canadian Human Rights Act, it takes away the authority of the country’s human rights commissions to investigate online hate speech and request that violating websites be taken down.
That has alarmed the Canadian Bar Association, which said in a recent report it’s concerned that the law may be the start of a campaign by the Conservatives to weaken Canada’s human rights laws.
“The debate surrounding the expediency of section 13 has become the proxy for an open assault on the very existence of an administrative framework to protect human rights in this country,” the CBA stated.
"Over the years, human rights commissions have remained at the vanguard of eliminating discrimination based on race, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other grounds, and advancing equality," the CBA added.
Other supporters of the commissions say taking away their authority over hate speech will embolden racists and lead to more racial violence.
But human rights commissions have become bogeymen to many Canadian conservatives, and some others, who have campaigned for years to eliminate them altogether, painting them as bureaucratic tools of censorship.
In one famous case, conservative media icon Ezra Levant was hauled in front of an Alberta tribunal to explain his decision to run controversial cartoons of the Prophet Mohamed in the magazine he ran at the time, the Western Standard.
Levant became a cause celebre for opponents of the commissions, and his decision to republish the cartoons online on the day of his human rights hearing was hailed as heroic by many conservatives.
But all the opposition parties voted against the private members’ bill in Parliament Thursday, with NDP public safety critic Randall Garrison arguing that it would now be much harder to prevent hate speech online.
“We do have a serious problem,” Garrison told the National Post. “If you take away the power to take (websites) down, it’s not clear they have any mandate to even to talk to people about it and educate them about it.”
Garrison argued that the Tories are being dishonest by having these laws be introduced as private members’ bills, rather than government bills, noting that the Conservative Party of Canada made repealing human rights commissions’ ability to regulate hate speech a part of their platform.
Public Safety Minister Vic Toews defended the bill, tweeting on Thursday that the new law will “end arbitrary censorship powers of human rights commissions.”
Public opinion on human rights commissions is split. An unscientific poll on the CBC website shows a bare majority of people supporting the Tories’ move.

Public opinion on human rights commissions is split. An unscientific poll on the CBC website shows a bare majority of people supporting the Tories’ move.
You know, despite the fact the opposition will turn this into a "if you support this, you're racist" play, I support stuff like this. Does that mean I want to support people with hate speech on the internet?
Not at all.
But I support free speech. I think it is the most important right in a free and democratic country. I can hate what people have to say, but can support their right to say it-in specific realms.
Bring this right on back to this website. I have been a vocal advocate against racism and sexism right here on RS-its a privately held board and is not the place given the diversity of members and so on. They have their own things set up where people of like minds can share their opinions. I disagree with it fully-almost to the point of disgust.
But what disgusts me a little worse is the idea that some government appointed commission is getting involved. I do not require a government body running around making sure people's feelings don't get hurt. If you are plotting a lynching? It's time to jump in.
That's the thing with free speech. You may not always like what people have to say.

Move to where? I dont know if your goyim but the way I see it the government has it right. You need more research on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion if in fact it is authentic.
Actually I believe the US maybe the opposite at the moment frankly. The masters(of the goyim) are out to undermine alpha male supremacy. It has its positives you know. You can go back to communist China also once financed by the masters.

Maybe their phone got stolen. So they are trying to find it again by matching serials with their box.

Im glad Im able to clarify. After spending much time on this book it doesnt point to a group or person running the world, rather, it highlights the phenomenon of how our world is being run and is unfolding. The protocol touches on Freedom of Speech which in the big picture is just another distraction..
My definition of "Freedom of Speech" must be different than StylinRed's. All I know is it isnt easy to be white and male living in Canada trying to express an opinion on sensitive topics because he may easily be accused of a hate crime. There's a double standard when comparing to minorities and woman..
There is a website by Henry Makow that delves into this topic many times. His site can be considered to contain hate speech material as it touches on ultra-sensitive subjects like feminism and zionism that most people can't handle or dont have a care about.
This Bill has two positives I can think of. One, the existence of hate speeches can create an opportunity to learn, if you can handle it.
Second, looking further ahead in the bigger picture of world domination this gives an opportunity for the government to "know" people more when and if people's anonyminty is eliminated in internet use. Would it not be great to know all of Anders Beivik's blogs and postings and had tracked him down before it was too late? I know its been talked about by the US government to want complete information and elimination of anonymity of all internet users.
Im just trying screw around with StylinRed:) but its a pretty serious book if people have the time to read it. Henry Ford printed 500,000 of these and today Iran and Syria still has the Protocols of the Elders of Zion in publication.
